I have (6) 8D lead acid batteries that I have removed from the Newell. My Newell has (8) total, (6) for the house and (2) for starting. I am keeping the starting batteries but I changed the house over to lithium.
The batteries are Napa Commercial part #7271FT. (4) dated 9/22, (1) dated 11/22 and (1) dated 3/23. As far as I know they were all purchased at the same time but my guess is they had to dig around to find (8) 8D batteries.
I am located in Tampa, Florida, local pickup only as shipping is just not feasible.
$50 each

Anyone have some detail on removing cover? I did call Newell and understand there are fasteners aft facing, behind vertical cover in aft bath and some above valve cover. Wondering if someone has a bit more detail

The 1982 Newell Classic owned by Prairieschooner, a member here, was bought a week ago by my sister-in-law. This coach is one serial number removed from our 1982 Newell Classic. It was one of two coaches built for brothers with the last name of Law, who lived near Denver, CO. They were both delivered to the brothers in March of 1982. Prairie schooner (Steve Ward) found his Newell in Yuma, AZ in 2008 where it had sat for a number of years after the death of its 2nd owner. I found mine in Palm Desert, CA in 2008 where its 2nd owner, Fred Hornbacker, kept it stored when not in use. Now, after all these years the 2 sister coaches have been reunited....

Are there any notable service issues with the 2007 - 2010 years or important items to update or replace based on a 15 year old coach. Such as Shocks/Airbags/Slide Seals/Air Fittings..ect.. I'm new to the forum but I'll look to see what tools should be with the coach. Any recommendations for inspection services that understand the Newell brand..
And are the electronics serviceable or upgradable?
We really like the interior volume of the Newell's vs some of the other coaches we have looked at.
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
We recently came accross a 74 coach and fell in love with her, although a little tattered and torn she is absolutely gorgeous and we are excited to get her cleaned up and on the road. Unfortunately the previous owner does not have the title, she had owned the coach for many years while traveling the cuntry durring retirement and claims that she had never had a title and that titles wer not issued on the older Newells, is this true and if so how do we go about registering our coach.
Thanks, any info would be much appreciated!
On my last trip I noticed that diesel was not firing. Had recently replaced the nozzle as I had not been running it often enough in the off season. It worked fine prior to nozzle and after. When I flip the switch the unit comes on but then does not fire. After a little trouble shooting with Rudy he thought was a failed brain, but that was not it. I'm assuming now that we know it's not the brain that the next thing to check would be that the igniter firing?
If yes, how does one go about testing that?

Hello my name is Eliseo new
Owner of a 1991 Newell motorcoach .
Hello everyone! I’m new to RVing and recently purchased a 2017 P50 model. I have a question about bedding: where might I find or order suitable bedding for my coach aside from going through Newell directly? My model includes two bunks, so I’d like to know if they require special sizing for sheets or bedding. Thank you!
