Does anyone have a suggestion on how to remove the 2 bolts holding the air governor on if you can't break them loose with a socket and rachet or 3/8" cordless impact. I've sprayed the governor with penetrating oil, just not budging and I don't want to snap the bolt. Hoping someone might have an idea. Coach #375
Thank you,
Jeff
Coach won't start. Nothing, no slow crank, no clicking, no noise at all. Checked both batteries with my multi meter and they are at around 12.5v.
I normally start it up and move it around on a weekly basis when we aren’t traveling but I’ve been out of town a lot for work and it’s been about 5 weeks since I last started it.
The generator cranked right up and I’ve turned the battery merge on. Jumping from from truck isn’t working either.
Any thoughts?
After last post. Tried to start it free m the engine compartment. She cranked right up.
Interesting solution to a leaking fresh water aquahot coil. Not sure if you can see it without signing up, if not let me know and I'll copy and paste it here.
Rudy, Richard, what do you guys think?

While tracing wires for my Aqua-Hot rebuild i toned the line for the wet bay thermostat and noticed this was cracked. Looks like a water filtration unit of some sort. Anyone know exactly what this is?
My wife and I just purchased 717, a 2005 4 slide with D60. We previously had a 1979 Chieftan that we used to camp in practically every campground in the colorado mountains. Before the Newell, we travelled the eastern US in a 1997 Prevost Marathon.
Retired mechanical engineer, I am familiar with HVAC, electrical etc. I have performed all the maintenance on cars and coaches for the last 40 years.
Difficult decision to change from the Prevost, but a four slide Newell seemed to be a much better value and we wanted more space when parked.
The Prevost came with a 3 inch thick binder with all the chassis maintenance and repair information. I have been able to do engine overhead, brakes, air bags etc.
Not sure what is available regarding the newell- only received a very sparse owners manual.
I have already noticed the tone on this forum is the most respectful and supportive of any forum I view/participate!
Good morning, I have a 2007 number 802. I need a key blank for the mid entry door. No luck with the factory or the lock manufacture or the local lock shop. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Tom.
We were at the Newell Rally in Hearthside a couple of weeks ago. I was honored when Andrew and Brad drove up to my spot to make a video of my coach! They went around the resort and interviewed several people. We really enjoyed the rally and on the 11th hour just as we thought it couldn't get better, it did!

So I drop by storage unit to pick up a few things and before leaving I hear the most strange sound coming from the bay in between my engine and the house batteries on the curb side. I believe this houses the air system for rear slides? It's a repetitive sound over and over again and if you expel air from the top desiccant it will stop for a second and then keep right on making the same repetitive sound. I think the link posted will take you to YouTube where I uploaded it.
I got out my bubble and my Amprobe and the Amprobe per the attached pick gets a 99 on that black knob, but I have zero air leaking there. Assuming that means the sound is resonating from that knob? Where I was able to see signifiant leak is in the seam on the little metal rectangular piece at the bottom. I've circled that in red where it's leaking and also one with bubbles as it's leaking quite a bit. Not sure if that needs to be replaced or if it can be taken apart and have some type of seal replaced. Not exactly sure how it even comes off the wall?
Hopefully this is not clear as mud. I guess the good news is that I found a pretty good sized leak along with one push fitting that needs changed to compression, but otherwise I'm at a loss as to what this sound is and how to fix that box from leaking.

I had seen this when i purchased the coach
and thought it would be no big deal to fix.
However, I'm not sure how the leather valance comes off. I cant seem to locate any hardware holding it on. any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
I really hope its not attached internally to the half round pillars.
I have followed this thread about counterfeit oil filters and have seen videos of the production of counterfeit filters. The possibility of having an "O" ring in the filter getting sucked into the engine is real. I started a list of filters I need; oil, air, air dryer, coolant, fuel, etc. and realize they are all probably being counterfeited. I no longer look for the best price, now I look for the source and will go directly to the manufacturer if needed.
