This is the replacement bulb for the cornering lights that only some coaches have.  It plugs in with a packard style connector & twists into the light fixture.  Sylvania #881

It appears the push-pull control valve for the generator slide-out has died. Has anyone replaced theirs and knows a source for a replacement?

thought I would pass on some aqua hot knowledge. One of the copper pipes above the middle aqua hot motor had broke, it was the same spot it had broke 3 months ago and Newell had repaired. The leaking fluid from the pipe leaked onto the engine preheat pump. This caused my preheat light to come on and off at random times. Newell currently doesn't have any of the pumps in stock so we shoot of the valves at the back of the coach. One was leaking so we replaced it.

Another symptom of the pre heat pump shorting out was it caused the relays in the aqua hot to chatter.

So just some issues I had thought I would pass on.

This will apply to 1999 coaches and probably several other years.  While having some rear brake work done a hose was discovered with a hole worn all the way through.  It had chafed on the chassis structure up high in the rear.  Hose was connected to the tag brake chamber.  Replaced them all as they were 16 yrs old.  I also replaced the drive & tag brake chambers.  Tag brake chamber is a straight forward R&R.  Drive brake chamber requires "staging"  and then R&R.

For each hose you will need two hose fittings:  Gates part #G33110-0606

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail...&ppt=C2431

And you'll need 3/8" id air brake hosing:

TIP: Trying to save the old fittings is near impossible due to its design.  Save yourself time & just cut off & replace.  Assembly is quite simple and self explanatory when you see the fittings.  A collar & clip goes over the hose and is pushed onto the fitting & then the collar is tightened.

Many of you know Mike Wheatley at Newell service . He is one of the electricians in the service department. Last Thursday night a tornado destroyed some buildings on his property and some minor damage to his house. Just thought I'd pass it on.

Hello,

I own a 1975 Newell pusher, and one of the rear air bag leaf springs has cracked.  Would anyone have any suggestions on where to source a used one, or am I better off trying to have one manufactured?

Thanks,

Robert

Rhonda has me doing a little remodel. So as I started to replace the bathroom sink, I ran into the Newell way of doing things. I think they used a 55 gallon drum of silicone to undermount the existing sink to the granite. It would not come loose. I was hesitant to pry too hard because the granite is only 1/2 thick. They do that that to cut weight as opposed to the 1 inch granite normally used.

The strength of the integral sink was just too much to break loose. So I thought what if I break the existing sink in pieces. That first blow with the ball peen hammer had a certain body restriction in full on mode.

I am happy to say the granite did not crack, and I was able to get the individual pieces loose.

And of course the final result.
