I some significantly worn and scuffed areas on my driver and passenger seat. I thought I would try a product that I first read about on one of the Bimmer forums. The product is Leatherique. I really didn't know what to expect. It is a four step process. The first is to recondition the hide, the second to clean, the third to prep for dyeing, and the fourth to dye. It sounds like a lot more work than it actually is. I sent a sample piece to them for color matching. I unstitched a piece of the skirt around the driver seat for the sample.

I'll let the results speak for themselves. I don't know how well it will hold up; according to the auto sites, it should do quite well.

We will see how long it holds up.

By the  way, the first two products, the rejuvenator and the cleaner, make the leather smell like new leather. I wiped all the other leather surfaces with them, and I can see the difference.

Gen set overheated . Realized coolant was low. Added some coolant and everything was fine.
I hadn't added any in 1000 hours of operating.. As a fellow guru who owns coach 512 but I want to keep his name anonymous once told me. " adding a liquid may temporarily solve your problem but it begs to ask where did the old liquid go.. ".  I see know signs of a leak so did I just lose some over time to evaporation?

My circuit breaker panel has all the circuit breakers mounted on the left side and only the main mounted on the right. My amp-meter shows shows current flow only on L1 and none on L2. That seems mighty strange to me. Any idea why it is set up that way. Basically, IF I understand it right, I'm wired for 50 amp and only using one side of the gen supply. What am I missing?

I have that granite tile in our coach. It is black, with almost iridescent blue or white flecks embedded in it.

Anyhoo, I had to buy an entire box of 12 by 12 squares to get a couple of pieces.

If you ever need a piece or two, let me know.

Got everything lined up to repower the dog house. Found a donor bus with a Cummins ISM and Allison 6 speed tranny. Going to meet Keith Frerichs (Rellick) where it's located in a couple of weeks and we'll drive back to Boise together. He's going to stick around and get everything transferred off the donor and get the dog house back on the road again. Pictures upcoming.   Big Grin

Hello everyone! You may recall that I was looking for help to inspect coach 511 in Dallas. I did that today, and the coach is pretty awesome. I'm now looking for a mechanic to inspect 483 in Des Moines, Iowa, owned by Duane and Rhonda. I think I will then decide between the two. Can anyone recommend a mechanic in Des Moines? As always, thanks for your help.

I wanted to post this in case it could help someone.
While we were at the River we started to have Electrical issues. I would leave the A/C on when we left and when we returned there was no power?
Here is what Newell installed in our '82 (this is before I started work)

I then made a Schematic (I'll post that as soon as I can). But the Shore Power comes in from the right to the Top Relay and the Generator comes in from the right to the Bottom Relay.
The Relays are wired so that both can not be energized at the same time by Normally Closed Contacts so that when say the Shore Power Relay is Energized the Switch is Held Open on it so that the Generator Relay cannot be Energized, here is a pic of the Relay showing the Auxiliary Normally Closed Contact.

After I opened the Relay

I could see the problem, the Center Contacts had overheated from 33+ years of service and were actually lower than the others, pic is a little out of focus but if you look close you can see the problem with the center contacts.

Luckily for me I bought a spare years ago and was able to replace the Relay with a new one from my spares, I'll post the numbers right after I buy another spare.
