Note: This discussion started on another thread so i moved it here. It was getting very interesting and i thought it deserved its own thread. if you have suggestions on a better title for it, let me know and i will change it

Over the past month or so we have done some serious soul searching regarding our future retirement plans, what we need for a rainy day fund, retirement account balance, whether to sell our home and go full-timing (exit strategy if we do), buy property and build our forever-home on it, etc., etc., etc. We also sat down with our 32 year old daughter the day after Christmas and watched quite a few YouTube videos of Dave Ramsey as she tries to figure out her course in life.

All this lead-in is to say that we have concluded that our desire is still to go full-timing but to purchase a motorhome, Newell or otherwise, in the $300K - $400K range, as has been our plan for awhile, is probably something we should remove from our thought process. It just does not make economic sense for us and, although we could afford to do it, there are other money priorities that this would have a huge impact on.

I apologize for running on but I showed my wife your coach on MOT and we sat and pondered for awhile and both said, "you know, that thing is beautiful and there is no reason we couldn't enjoy full-timing in something of that age that is that well appointed and looked very well taken care of."

Sorry we aren't yet in the market but just thought I would pass on that your coach may have been the trigger that leads us to look at much older coaches than we previously thought we would. I have to believe that that coach won't last long on the lot!

I often see those "Buy your gold here" commercials. William Devane has made a career touting gold coins, bullion and silver. What he never says is how do you sell all that gold....Well, I find myself in kinda the same situation. I think I know how to buy a coach, but how do you sell one?

I am contemplating selling 653. It's a race coach with lots of miles, but has been heavily -- some might say obsessively-- maintained while I have been its caretaker over the last 4 years. I have done tons of upgrades to the coach, and will miss it, but I really want to spend time doing other things right now. My plan is to sell 653 and then in a year or two, buy a newer Newell.

I have thought about doing a consignment with someone like MOT, but have heard mixed reviews. (please don't flame me!). A lot of coaches show up on eBay, but few are really sold there. RVT.com has tons of listings but I am hesitant about letting random people drive the coach.

So, how should a guru think about this?

sorry we had to shut the site down for part of christmas day but we figured it would be a slow day. and we are too needing of our sleep to do it in the middle of the night.

my two sons (scott and greg) worked on it for most of the afternoon and evening.

we increased our capacity dramatically so you should see an improvement in page load times and you should not time out on loading a page etc.

we do have a few glitches yet. some of the forum email system is not working yet and we are trying to figure it out.

when we changed hosting servers, it takes sometimes up to a day or two for all the ISP's servers to change their pointing to the new server from the old one so that is why some were able to get back on quicker than others. we beleive everyone should be able to use it now.

please let us know here or contact us privately if you are having any problems.

we just plain outgrew what we had before and to be honest we never expected that.

thanks to scott for the time he put into this. he and my son greg (who works at godaddy) are amazing at this stuff.

Anyone on the forum?

Super looking 2014 coach at Twin Fountains for X-mas.

Having a bad day today , have a hole in the slideout seal . Does this repair need to go back to newell or is there any place in the az /cali / nv area that can replace the seal ???

My compressor is making a bit more racket every month...it seems to vibrate a little more when starting up and sometimes taking a minute or more to sound normal. I am sure it is running properly and the pressure everywhere and cycling all normal.
Thought to turn this into a "Poll" of sorts in asking which brand you have and then you fill in your specific model and experiences with it...

I am ready for a trip , i keep my bus stored with slides out , went in today and tried to retract slides , and all i am getting is a loud click from the solenoid pump box under the drivers seat , my bus is a 02 4 slide hwv slide system . tried with and without engine running . nothing but a loud click

I am thinking of installing a full sine wave inverter charger. Xantrex, Magnum, and outback now offer versions that do not have a float segment to charge cycle as the LiPo batteries prefer.
