The 110 air compressor in the front doesn't come on even after replacing the well pump switch also. It comes on once in a while, but the rig sinks to the bottom all the time and the air gauges read 0 unless I turn on the key and then they read 20 and 35. What's up with that? The ride is always different also and I have to manually pump up the bags with the button on the HWH pad before I put it in drive mode and it takes about 10 minutes to pump it up. The drive light only comes on when I pump it up after it loses all it's air when parked.
Seems like a big deal. Is it worth a trip to HWH? Anyone been to HWH? I have a few problems with the hydraulic slides also. Just rolled the same seal for the third time in 80 uses. Each time it pops the 5,000 dollar bills just keep flying out. Never locks all 3 slides so constantly driving with the level light on.

When I shut her off and even if she didn't go far, the hydraulic cooling fan stays on. If I pull the relay out and put it back it stays off. I tried replacing the relay to no avail. It still does it. Any ideas?

I have some shiny pieces on the ceiling treatment that have come loose and I tried an epoxy resin but that didn't work. I think I need something that is flexible so when she moves it moves with her. Any suggestions?

Does anyone have any experience with the starter lockout relay wiring?

The 85 terminal is powered by the start signal but the 86 terminal is not tied directly to battery negative (or chassis ground) rather is a brown wire running into the harness going to the front end.

I suspect neutral safety switch.

Ideas or experience?

I am purchasing a 1988 classic. The one in the avatar and in the 88 in mesa thread. What do you think? I'm new to these coaches, but very mechanical. Should I do my own pre purchase inspection, maybe with Tom's help or possible take it to Leo at All Aboard America? I have a short list of focus items that I feel should get particular attention to alleviate costly repairs after purchase, in addition to the laundry list of inspection items confirming proper systems operation. Which items would be most important to you?

Fluids analysis- Which fluids? unfortunately the dealer just changed the engine oil, but not the trans. Coolant and differential? Slobber can for indications of coolant contamination

Air springs- spray to check for leaks, check control valves for age and condition? don't know much about the system operation.

Air systems- Air/water separators for indication of system integrity, tanks for leaks, brake actuators for moisture damage.

Water- Heater for anode condition, tank sediment to determine remaning life. Don't see a date on the tank.

A/C systems- a new York engine driven compressor was just installed. Not sure if the orifice or receive/dryer were replaced. I asked to have all other a/c pressures checked. Not so sure I trust it to be done or evaluated properly. Do I do it myself? How costly to repair these units? Are parts available?

Windows- there is some seal creep but not much and windshield rubber is soft, no cracks, but had some silicon at the top. Do they leak much? Should any of it be a concern?

The tires are new in front and '11s in the rear. the batteries are being replaced. some rust at front belly is being repaired

What can I do to check generator condition? fluid analysis?

I feel I could do a good job, but the list is long and I'm trying to focus my attention in the right areas. The purchase is As Is and I am trying to be balanced in my expectations.

I'm paying 50k for the coach. Sound ok?[/align]

Thanks for the help

The documents are fluid in that they will be revised some as time moves forward. The Q Participant List and the Q Reminders will be published later in the year, about October.

Nesting area is the same as all prior years.

Two Newell coaches attend the 2014 rally...a 2006 & 2007. Nice units. Plan to join in the fun.

Trying to understand systems still. What water heating modes am I likely to have with this heater and is it only for potable water not interior heating? [Image: ScreenShot2014-04-02at21753PM_zps814e2331.png]

I've purchased a permanent mount surge protector and am wondering where yours are located; before or after the transfer switch. If you use a portable one it is before the transfer switch. I'm wondering if the same is true for permanently mounted ones.
