The left turn & brake light got very weak & then quit on the tow vehicle. After eliminating absolutely everything else, my Draw-Tite tow light controller has failed for the left turn and left brake signal. It has 12V going in, but only 6.5V coming out to the tow vehicle. The tail light & right turn & right brake light is still working. Has any one else had to replace one of these? Not sure what years Newell used these--or is it something that is only on my Newell? The box is located in the stainless steel compartment that is accessed with the engine cover up.

Draw-Tite does still makes a direct replacement, although cosmetically it looks a little different. Wiring is the same. New part # is 119130. This box converts a three light system (separate tail, brake & turn) to a two light system-(tail & combo brake & turn).

hi all,

yesterday i hard wired in my vmspc. i drilled a hole in the side of the glove compartment and mounted the control box in there with velcro.

then i ran an extension usb cable from it to under the top of the dash (had to take the dash off) so that it comes out right at where i would use it on my lap top

i ran the connection cable from the vmspc box under the dash using a feed wire over to the plug under the ignition switch. i ohmed out the wires on the plug to make sure i knew which wires did what and connected the wires to the back side of the connector.

so, it is a nice and neat installation and i dont have to have that huge plug plugged in under the dash.

Guys we have tiles that are 3x3 we want to use in our bathroom. Have any of you tiled in an RV before? Looking for tips. I see a site called Flex Tile that sells an adhesive and grout but wondering if similar things are available at Menards and such.

I got a lesson on my Headhunter pump while I was at Newell last week. I had the Sequence Valve in my Microphor toilet replaced for the third time in about 3 months. In case you have never been told... NEVER turn on the Headhunter, and the City Water valve at the same time. The pressure will shoot up to over 100psi, and blow up the Sequence valve. Newell replaced all 3 times at no cost to me, because they did not tell me not to do that. Those puppies are around 250.00 each, plus labor at 110.00 per hour (4 hours).

I thought this info would be helpful...

gee, i know it is mine, but i still get excited about it.

yesterday i took her to all aboard america where leo took care of a few things for me. the dash air had been leaking freon and he found a back hose crimp on the front evaporator. fortunately he has the crimping tool to do it. worked good afterwards so far.

we changed the entrance steps.

looked for air leak on the front drivers side airbag, but could not find anything

adjusted the ride height valves. they are a gigantic pain in the neck on mine. i need lots of time and shop air to get them right. they take quite a while to go back and forth.

ended up i had a flat tire on the drive axle inner passenger side. filled it up and took it to jack at redburn tire (truck place) in mesa. great shop and i would highly recommend it. it is where i do all my newell tires. they took it off and dunked it but no leaks. ended up being the valve extension. both the bus shop and this tire shop will not use them. but i have to in order to get the pressure pro sensor on it.

they are not easy to find and i had the local napa order one in for me.

here are a few pictures of the dirty beast. this next week i will spend some time detailing her.

later

i am an audio geek. the bedroom just had a pair of the ADS speakers in it for the TV. so to go along with the LG 42" 3D lcd tv that michael installed for me, i added a yamaha av reciever with hdmi switching, 5 Mirage Nanosat speakers and a yamaha sub. it sounds really nice.

the niles audio IR repeater was on the fritz. the niles audio ones are really expensive. i replaced it with a complete system from monoprice for 30 bucks and it worked great.

i wire managed it and put the wall all back together. i do not have the bedroom all finished but it is done enough to travel.
