Ran across this ad for a '97 2 slide coach with series 60 engine for $149,000. Might be worth a closer look! Coach #462

I left my coach at a friends lake cabin today to run my son to college. I am on my way back right now and my friend called to say when he checked on the coach there was water on the front dash. He shut that front basement A/C unit down. Has anyone had this problem? Is there by chance a frozen pipe or maybe a tube that is supposed to drain the condensation that accumulates that might be clogged?

Looking for suggestions and where to look.

I'm not that computer saavy, but I'll ask what may be a stupid question. When I do a Google search for "Newell forum" I do not find this site. I would think if it did come up on Google it would increase membership. Is there a process to get Google to recognize the site?

About a 1/3 of the switches on my coach perplex me as to their function. Can you guys opine on the not so obvious ones for me? Can't figure out how to attach pics with the IPhone so I will do that in a bit with a computer or IPad. Thanks as always.

I hope to have my valves adjusted somewhere in Arizona in early October. Access to the top of the engine seems to be the important issue. My Newell, #579, has the three mirrored closets in the back, not a walk-in or bath model. I would appreciate any information on how to access the top of the engine. Perhaps if I am able to open it up, it will be easier to take it to a Detroit service shop the adjust the valves. Miami, Oklahoma, is a long way to travel for a simple valve adjustment.

hi all,

i put new relays in the manual transfer switch in my 1990. i also replaced the neon indicator lights. i thought having the info might help someone. you would have to verify that your setup is the same as mine was. i suspect that newell used the same setup for a while, but you would have to doublecheck yours. the old relays were no longer manufactured so the contactors i show below are the replacements for them.

here is the schematic of the transfer switch i sketched out after tracing the wires.

there are 2 different contactors used here. the 2 big ones and then an auxiliary smaller contactor that adds on.

i bought mine at grainger but they are available at other places.

the part numbers for them are as follows. you need 2 of each.

the big one is a

Brand SQUARE D
Mfr. Model # 8910DPA63V02

the little one is a

Brand SQUARE D
Mfr. Model # 9999D01

here are the grainger links to them.

I noticed last night as our coach idled with the lights on that the rear running lights and the lights that eliminate the rear license plate would flicker off and on occasionally. Any suggestions where start tracking this one down?

My camera is unusable. So suggestions for brand and wired or wireless and single or three image? I see a wired three image one from Voyager right now for $500. I would assume once the wires are into the coach it is straightforward to run them up front to the a new monitor.

The old camera is in a bubble type housing but it appears all of these new cameras come in a housing and just mount on the back and the. One on each side for the other two if it is a three way image. Backing up with mirrors and my kids trying to tell me direction and how far is making me nervous to say the least.
