looking at buying It, any info on how many owners or issues.?
I got around to removing the side docking lights and replacing them with LED units. The LED replacements are slightly larger and thicker which made reinstalling the rubber assembly into the coach fender flare a big challenge. I used copious amounts of electrician wire lube but in the end, a Dremel tool was needed to remove some material in the hole to widen it. Glad that is done. Original lights used around 5-6 amps each. These are around 1 amp a piece. Rubber was in very good condition aside from being extremely dirty from years of road debris. I let them soak in a tub of simple green and hand scrubbed them. One of the lights must have been replaced at one point since there is a mismatched color set of rubber boots. Since the pic was taken, I added a 1/4" wire loom to protect the exposed wire and zip tied it to the cross frame. I surely hope I never have to replace these ever again.
Mobil Delvac TES295 is now $31/gallon while supplies last at WW Williams in Phoenix, don't know about their other locations. I think that's a good price?? It is used in the Allison Transmissions and the Newell Hydraulics on coach 1482. I need to change the hydraulic filter plus I like to carry extra along for any leakage, blown hose, etc.. I used all of my spare fluid when the transmission failed last year.

I got caught in a hail storm over the weekend and could get the awning pull in fast enough, now she is off kilter a little and the front hangs out more than it should, IS there an adjustment to realign it? I don't think it'll pull out if im driving but i'd really like for it to be back in sync again.
TIA
Anyone know, off hand, the size of the threads on the wet tank (the one behind the drive axle) I have a lanyard operated one, which was replaced last year and it's now leaking air. I'd like to replace it with something more leak resistant.
Thanks,
What is the consensus on the rear wet tank drain? I have an auto drain and the last time I pressed the Shrader valve there was water coming out. (This was before I replaced the air dryer) My question is should I remove the auto drain and plumb in a manual valve like I did for the front two tanks? I am thinking the rear tank will get dropped next since I would like to replace the check valve and give the tank a good examination. (Assuming Newell engineers didn't weld the tank brackets above the chassis blocking the bolt head) I am sure that one will be a doozie to get out due to the large size and proximity to chassisfanalia.
In good working order on a 1988 i just bought. I know these are hard to come by so let me know if you are interested. I’m in Indio, CA for the next month or so then will be in mesa, az for awhile. Only Newell owners.
Let me know if there are any other original parts you might need like electric cooktop, koolmatic roof fan, Dometic RM3807 (dc does not work right now but fridge stays at mid 30’s on setting 3)
Yesterday I had the rest of the tires replaced.
While the drives were off I pulled the lanyard to empty the wet tank in the back. Not much water.. a puff of rust and it didn't seal well.. as is normal with those valves. I pulled and cajoled until I thought it was sealed. It wasn't.
Today I saw the left side (driver's) completely aired down, but the right side (Passenger's was perfectly fine and holding air.
I am thinking this may help me diagnose the leak I believe I have in the check vale(s)
Experts chime in!
While rebuilding the slide room HWH block the c-clip that holds the bottom o-ring in place went flying in my building and I’m not finding it. Is this something I can get at local hardware store? I may head to the house and get my big magnet bar for cleaning up nails to help find it if not… of course this was the last clip I was installing and will have to tear apart the other block to match it :-(
