Currently, I am unable to start heat on any of the (3) zones via the Silverleaf panel. The left & right dash heat buttons work fine utilizing the Aqua-Hot. The rear and mid bath Honeywell thermostats also work. Cooling control works fine via the Silverleaf for all (4) zones. I have roof A/C's with no heat pumps.
Spoke to Newell, and they had me do a Silverleaf reset and battery disconnect to see if a reboot might help. Also reseated the connections on the Silverleaf TM-220 module located above the front entry door. All settings in the climate section of the Silverleaf appear to be correct.
Any ideas before I start ordering replacement Silverleaf components?
Does anyone know the part# for front airbags on 2003 model. Dana suspension

I just came home from picking up my “new” 1996 Newell. It was an adventure that I’ll share in another post but wanted to ask if anyone knows how high these coaches need to ride? The reason I ask is because mine would hit the asphalt (back trailer hitch steel protector)every time we drove into a parking lot or small 5-10 degree grade. Is this normal.? It seems the back clearance is only about 8”. My novice opinion is, besides maybe needing new airbags(I think these are originals), I may need to adjust the leveling valves or solenoids? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I’m the new owner of coach #606, and rather quickly trying to work through some maintenance items. The biggest item I am working on being the slide out seals. I’ve researched extensively what it takes to replace them, and although I feel I could tackle this task, I don’t want to get in a bind and mess up or have to do the repair twice. I reached out to Motorhomes of Texas and had them shoot me a rough estimate for all 4 seals. My expectation was to pay around $1200-$1300 each for the material, and $2500+/- each for labor.
MOT just quoted me a little over $3k each for the seals, and over $4k each for labor. Grand total right at $30k.
Has anyone recently completed this repair? Are my expectations way out of line?
Both motion sensors did not work so the awnings would not automatically retract when the wind started blowing. The awning control was flashing red which indicates a fault in the motion sensor. Called Newell & found the awning control box in the rear closet underneath the circuit breaker box velcro'd to the side wall carpet. It was suggested to check the wiring on the roof at the awnings. Sure enough both awnings had problems there. One had 2 broken wires, the other had insulation disintegrating inside the outer sheathing, mainly the white wire. The wiring is weatherproof and UV rated but that piece didn't fare well up there. Was told the wire sometimes gets crimped at the awning arms when they fold up. The connectors I'm trying out are the same as the phone company has used, Ideal 85-950 Telephone Splice Connectors with moisture sealant. Will see how that works out. The motion sensors work now and the red light is no longer flashing.
I'm having an issue with the rear HWH six pack. I called HWH but they have a 2 week back log.
System blows off air on rear six pack and lowers coach. It does not happen always....just has a mind of it's own.
System raises and levels correctly.
Thanks for insight and ideas of what to do.

My stairs seem to be intermittently "stuck" over the last year. I have used all types of lubricant and also having techs look at them. They'll be in the down position for a short period and for long periods and then one day, they'll retract and operate until left out for an extended time. No consistent pattern that I otherwise have noticed.
Any inputs welcomed.

Hello All,
I am the NewGuy. Bought a 1974 Coach that has lived here locally since New. I remember when it came to town and knew the owner. Wasn't used much and was kept inside it's whole life. When he passed the coach went to his friend and it was given the same treatment. He and his wife used it all over West Virginia.. Well he also passed and the coach stayed inside for many years. She sold it to me a couple of months ago.
New batteries, fuel filters, and a little finnesse and we drove it out of storage and about 15 miles home. This Coach is like a Time Capsule. Not a Scratch anywhere, inside or out. No wear pattern on the carpet or any of the furniture, no damage at all. Only shows 19600 miles. Don't know whether to believe that or not but I have the service records from Cummins and they seem to back it up. Only thing is it has a VT555 and a lot of folks do not like them.
I have had everything, fluids, belts, hoses, changed and am waiting for new air bags. All filters too have been replaced. She runs very well but smokes a little, not bad though. From researching there seems to be a lot of these engines in Boats. Mr. Gearing at Newell told me as long as I did'nt push it too hard it should be fine. We will see. If not I will repower. Just don't laugh, I cannot find the switch for the water pump. It works because I hooked 12v to it, just cannot find that darn switch!
Have already replace the Original Sony Color TV 8 Track Player and Original Sound System and now have WIFI and an all new Camera System. I will get there hopefully by spring. I have been here long enough. Hope I was not too boring. Alfred M. Nesbitt [email protected]
Pictures will follow I hope!
I have four interior powered roller shades on my coach. They were all working perfectly. Today I had Chester stop by with his crew to install the new awnings and asked me to pull the coach out to the side of the house. I tried to roll up the shades but none of them worked. I checked the fuses and all is good. I know if the marker lights are on, the shades are disabled but everything is off. Shades worked regardless of interior 12v lighting was powered up. About ready to remove them. Any suggestions?
I read the thread that said the aqua hot capacity is 16 gallons. Is this the same for the 1990s Primus propane electric boiler systems?
