I took my coach out and plugged it into a 30 amp outlet. I could hear the click from the box by the cord so I know I have power in. On the silver leaf screen it gives me a shorepower code 656. I then tried to use the generator instead and the silver leaf gave me two more codes. So as of now it is just running off the inverters. Any help on what to check would be greatly appreciated!

Travelling to look at, inspect a 1991 Newell tomorrow.
Anything special to that era I need to look out for?
Thanks, Jack

My coach has a Powertech. The voltage regulator went bad and was replaced 3-4 months ago.
When I run all 4 roof AC after about an hour it will cut off power. The engine keeps running. It will continue to cycle power on/off every 3-4 minutes. If I cut it back to 3 roof AC it will run and produce power no problem.
Any idea where to start?

We recently encountered a problem with our Aqua Hot in which it seemed that hot water was coming out of the cold side (and into the toilet). Fran shut it down and found a bad relay.  Once the overtemp “switch” on the diesel side was reset the diesel AH is working fine.
We are looking to find a source for the relay and would also like to find the AH temp gauge as it has never worked in the 8 months we’ve owned the coach.
Fran has been getting a crash course in AH repairs lately and it seems that in our neck of the woods (Eastern Iowa) there doesn’t seem to be anyone with a great deal of knowledge on the system especially with the parts that are unique to Newell.  Does anyone (ie: Rudy or Roger Berke etc.) do video conferencing for a fee? I know we’d be willing to pay for their knowledge just to gain a better understanding of the AH system. Thanks! Cherie

I have a total newbie comment.  When running the generator I noticed the panel above the cockpit showed 240 V and the L1 light was on.  Nothing showed for L2.  I had the AC's and fridge on.  I expected to see something on L2 but?  I do not have volt or amp meters on the display.  My generator display is only oil pressure and temperature.  I need a lay mans explanation as to what I am seeing.  I admit to knowing very little about electricity and great respect for those that do.  Just trying to learn the best I can.
Thanks!

Finally (yeah) picked up coach after having generator rebuild and re-install.  The generator is running fine, both basement a/cs are running normal on generator but the refrigerator is not coming on.  The fridge lights come on when the door is open but the compressor does not engage.  It was cooling fine on electric before re-installing the generator.  Being a newbie to Newell, am I missing something or is the fridge on the fritz?  I will be back in the coach tomorrow afternoon and will attempt to check it again when on the generator.  It is not plugged in at this moment.....having a cut tire replaced.  Any suggestions would be helpful.   Huh

Very nice, well kept 2006 coach for sale at MOT. didn't work for me because it has refrigerator and freezer drawers, not a regular refrigerator. Murphy bed is halfway between a queen and king bed. 625 CAT and ZF transmission. Just left Newell where they fixed all issues. Looks to be a very nice coach for someone.
I had a deposit on this one but didn't travel to see it because we fulltime and the refrigerator drawers were not enough for us. Everything else was a go. Too bad for me, nice coach for someone else. Its on RVTrader.

Thought y'all might be interested in this picture. This is a road construction project on Hwy. 50 near our cabin in Colorado. An excavator lifted up by a large crane is being operated by the guy in the blue basket lifted up by another large crane. They're blasting and removing part of the mountain to straighten out the road.
