Coach #530 & #531 were together again for the first time since 1998 when they were in the production line together.

It was almost a rally as there were three Gurus at Newell--Bares, Russ White & Bob/Diane Hedman.  I also saw Forrest & Cindy's old coach and got to meet the new owners.  Lots of good conversation.

The new owner of our 90 Wanderlodge is coming in today and we have both coaches parked side by side.  We are still trying to figure out where everything is going to go but there is definitely a LOT more space inside!  We are in love with this Newell!  Now I just have to get a good name for her... I like Dorothy since we got her from Kansas (and she does have a Ruby stripe!)...

As I type this I am sitting on the side of the road 10 miles east of Okc.. 

Picked coach up from Newell at 1030 this morn backed op to trailer and all of the sudden no power steering and the smell of hydraulic fluid.. Turn coach off notice approximately 5 gallons on the ground. How do I know 5 gallons ? Cuz reservoir in back was dry.. Newell sends someone out fixes blown hose right by fitting and splices in new 10 inch section.. By this time it's 4 we have some food head out to Okc.. 11 miles east of Okc hear boom and see lots of sparks.. Rear wheel passenger side of trailer blown.

No problem I have stacker. I get spare out , get jack ,turn on air compressor. Hook up  air hose grab Impact gun grab sockets.. Don't have socket big enough for lug nuts and the trailer lugs are larger than the Mercedes lugs I have in stacker..[amoff][/amoff] I have with me.. 

Return to coach call blue sky roadside assistance. Post how 90 % preparedness don't mean squat if u can't get the lugnuts off

I had this idea in my Wanderlodge to put a BIG TV behind the couch on a lift that would lift up in front of the window.  Anyone know of a good lift system for a 55" LED (THIN) TV (about 40 lbs)?  I called Newell and they said the system they now use takes up 14" of space so I would have to push the couch out onto the slideout to make enough room for it.  I would like to find something that uses considerably less room behind the couch.  

I have pretty extensive hand tools and lots of 24-volt cordless tools for pretending to work on my coach... 
Where do you guys normally mount your tool box?  In my current coach there is one bay that is devoted to it but I'm not really seeing one on the Newell.  I definitely want it on the curb side and the only really good location has a Joey bed in it.  I was thinking about mounting a 6-10" tall slide drawer tray/box (east/west mounting) that is about 26" wide and 18" deep on the Joey bed - this way it would clear the sides of the Joey bed.  
Then I could mount whatever size regular or middle chest toolbox on top of that.  I think this will work if the Joey bed can handle all the weight... any other (better) ideas? 

We left Indiana last Saturday morning headed east. We completed the 1000 mile trip at the Wild Duck Campground in Scarborough, Maine near Portland. The Newell performed flawlessly!! This is the longest trip we've taken since the rebuild. It looks like we will have a few days of rain but we'll "roll with it" and enjoy the time away..!!

The Phillips head screws that attach the molding onto the sides of my Newell loosen over time. I'm wondering if anybody else has this problem and have you found a solution?? I replaced a few of them with stainless steel screws because they were slightly rusty.

Yesterday, I was asked to look at an 07 coach. This is the first time I have observed how the slides operated. The owner wants engineered wood in the salon and carpet
in the bedroom. He operated the front 2 slides for me so I could get the "feel" of how they operated. I was impressed, to say the least. Their precision engineering was what
really caught my attention.
I'm not a newbie at all with slides in all the coaches I have added flooring to. But this coach was, in my opinion, top of the line, in how the slides operated.
So many of the lesser coaches, the slides do all kinds of weird gyrations that quite a lot of them are unpredictable.
I will be "operating" on this coach Feb 1, 2016- I'll post some photos.
