Hi Folks!
Debbie and I were driving from Bismarck N.D. south on Hwy. 212 in South Dakota just above Sturgis, SD, trying to beat all the craziness that will occur there in a couple weeks, when we came to this little town, population 675! As they used to say on the Old TV show, Hee Haw, YaaaHooo!
Had to stop and block some traffic to take a picture for everyone to see our beautiful coaches' actually have a town named after them! Smile

I have a portable freezer located in one of the bays below. I lost 120v power and everything spoiled. Power to the commode room, and both bays down below are out. My manual states that there is a CIF in both the galley and commode closet, but I cannot find them. Power to the galley is OK. Help please.

Forum: Discussion about what to consider on buying a used Newell
- Replies (29)

Hi guys,

I’m sorry for using the “P” word on Newell Guru, if you will allow me this one dispensation I’ll not use such language again!

I’ve known about Prevost for years, I had two good friends in Amway who had them and they were very nice coaches for sure.

Newell I’ve known a couple months and the more I know the more I know Newell is the coach for me and my wife! One main difference I know is that Newell is built from the ground up by Newell engineers. Prevost is a bus chassis (like Bluebird) converted to a Motorhome by companies like Marathon.

That is about what I know and would appreciate you good folks filling in the voids.

Thanks again,

Harry

Hi all,

I downloaded the current Newell Brochure and on page 8 it shows a floorplan and a good one. The only problem is there is no washer & Dryer in the coach. It's hard to believe someone would buy a coach today without them.

I understand you can put them into a closet, it just seems strange that a floorplan would be shown without them, or is it just me?

Forum: Howdy and Welcome to Newell Gurus

I am absolutely amazed by this forum... I joined July 13th and in a matter of 4 days I have had the following things happen.

• I’ve been given coach information on a specific coach.
• I’ve had a member tell me they will be driving through my area and ask if I’d be interested in meeting them and seeing their coach.
• I’ve had a private message offering me specific coach information
• I’ve been told to let the forum know when there is a coach I’m interested in and if there is someone close. They would go through the coach with me!

All of this may be so normal here on the forum that no one even thinks about it. But this is truly unbelievable to me, what a fantastic group of people!

I had the privilege some years ago to be the key note speaker for a group of a national association of surgeons and I would like to share with you what I shared with them...

There were thousands in the audience, ok-ok maybe it was just a family member with at boom-box, but they were really excited... I said many things but nothing more important than this; “You have been so good at what you do for so long that you have forgotten how good you are and how important you are to those you have helped!”

That is certainly true of you guys and I just need you to know how much you are appreciated and not only by me, by many.

Hey if I got all of this in four (4) days what can I expect in 30? Invitations to breakfast, lunch, dinner, overnights, vacations, free 2006 Newell coach, diesel, maintenance. Oh and even ............ and .............. OMG in 60 days ................... Can I get a Yee-Haa-Woo-Haw!

You’re the best, better than all the rest! Hey there could be a song in that somewhere... I joke but not about you guys!

Hi guys,

I know when I see something like Newell #515 that the 515 means this is the 515th coach built. What other information is known from that number about that coach?

I was reading earlier about a Newell coach that is being sold by LazyDays. It's a 2002 450 (not sure what that number means HP, coach# etc) listed for $230,799. I was amazed at the amount of information folks on the forum know about it.

Do they know about this coach by seeing it or do you get a lot of information known by the coach number?

I’m really looking forward to finding more about this.

A reader of my blog found this Newell on Cranky Ape up for auction located in Valdosta, GA....right now bidding is at $0. Auction ends 7/23. There are 65 pictures plus a video of the DD 8V92 running. Needs a lot of cosmetic stuff. The description lists all the blemishes. Looks like it has good bones.

I am in Denver and trying to find six new 315/80R 22.5 Michelin tires. The primary Michelin dealer here is trying to locate them and the primary Michelin warehouse in Houston does not have any. I have a Michelin Advantage account, and if anyone has any idea where six are located, I would be grateful.

Forum: Please introduce yourself
- Replies (14)

Hi Folks,

I received a nice personal note from Tom McCloud when I joined the forum and feel it’s incumbent on me to introduce myself. Please don't blame Tom, he couldn't have known any better!

A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory, so I’ll not tell you who actually recommended me to come here. I figure if they want you to know they’ll step forward, but don’t expect it!

So if you good folks don’t mind having me around and butting in now and again I will surely appreciate your indulgence!

My background is that of a database developer and builder. So if I seem to get too deep in the weeds on occasion. Just remember that I come from a profession where Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

I look forward to meeting each of you and learning all I can about “All That Is Newell”!

Thanks so much,

Harry
