Just bought a 1987 Newell Classic 40' tag Detroit Silver 8V92 TA DDEC Wow its a step up from our 9'6' truck camper. This coach has more options than you can shake a stick at ! I thought it was coach #187 but the owners manual says Blade 287 ?
My wife and I are hoping to Arizona/California in February to see what this weather is all about.
Just got a call from the shop that is doing an insurance safety inspection,it needs a drag link,a couple rear axle oil seals ,muffler has a hole etc. there goes the Christmas money ! Don&Linda

Hello all,
Wife and I are looking to full time in the next 2-3 years, and will do it in either a Wanderlodge or Newell, with our focus on the Wanderlodge.

Do any of you have an opinion on whether a wanderlodge or newell offers less expensive maintenance costs? Assume that we will do much of the easier maintenance.

I know that this is a tough question and depends on the condition of the specific bus, but are they any clear advantages to either coach?

We would be looking for a 89-95 year coach.

Thanks for the forum and for your thoughts!

When you store your coach do you leave the slides in or out? And do you leave the compressor on or off?

Have had about 30 feet of outdoor LED's for two years and finally installed 15' feet on the passenger side.....looks pretty cool.....I think.

Why is it common to have only a cook top?
I recently installed a 4 burner stove and oven, there was room to save the bottom drawer after shortening it 1.5".
All that remains is to cut down and re-install the doors.
I put a few pictures in my gallery.

I'm looking for a nice set of easy to use wire strippers. Any one have a nice pair? Link? Almost all that I look at have poor reviews.

LiFePO4 with Yttrium to be exact. I picked up my crate today from my buddys shop where it was delivered. It had been sitting in Ft. Worth since late last week with the ice storm.
Just had time to pop the top and take a peek and yes there are 4 cells which will be 1000 amp hours when installed. Tomorrow I'll bust open the crate and take a few pictures then check the voltages and start putting the cells together. I expect it to take a week or two to get everything installed and working together. And I'll document the install here with pictures and prices. Hopefully the 1000 amp hour capacity will be a bit more than 6 8D's and should recharge much quicker.

Stay tuned!

Forest Olivier found this replacement gauge for the inside AquaHot temperature gauge and I put one in my coach too.  When I called Cyberdyne, the manufacturer of the original gauge, they did not offer much technical support.  I decided to use the Intellitronix  2 1/16" led digital water temperature that included the sender.  Part # is M9113R.  The look is almost exactly the same and fits perfectly.  I got mine from JC Whitney for $45.  Installation was simple and was able to use the existing wiring.  New gauge has a lifetime warranty.

Sending unit part #S8013
