So in my 1998 coach, there is a regular 120v outlet in the bay just to the left of the mid-entry door.  Mine seems to just randomly decide that for some time it will be off.  It doesn’t have a GFI plug in outlet.  I can’t see any fuses or breakers being out anywhere either and sometimes it just works and other times it doesn’t.  It seems to flip on and off every other trip or so, not daily or hourly.

Any ideas?  Any hidden fuses or breakers for that plug that maybe I cannot find or don’t know about?

Losing my TV in the salon but have no clue how to access it so that I can even check connections much less swap it out for a new one.  Any help appreciated.  Hopefully I have loaded the picture in properly.

So, recently I have been having a problem with my electric aquahot working.  The diesel version works just fine.  The light lights up when I use the switch but it just doesn't heat up.  I checked the fuses in the back of the coach and the fuses on the inside of the aquahot bay but none of them seemed to be blown.  We did have the breaker go off a few times the past week or two at the post we were plugged in to, so maybe that caused something to malfunction?

Is there another fuse somewhere that I would need to check?

Is it the relays maybe?  I see a few of them on the side of the aquahot near the fuses.

The diesel works great and the heat still works overall.

Coach is a 1998.

Had a switch panel recently fail.  Panel was dark and none of the five buttons functioned.  Removed panel and found rapid flashing green LED on the rear of the panel.  This indicated the panel was trying to communicate with the network, but never succeeded.  This LED should be solid green indicating the device is connected to the network and communicating properly.

I spoke to Newell and they did not have any in stock.  Lead-time was two weeks and $436.  Spoke to Spyder Controls, price was $250 and I received it in four business days from BC, Canada.

As i get closer to selling my house and leaving Alaska I'm trying to build a tool kit for any unexpected emergency. I've got some basic hand tools and scanners, laptops and code readers. This however is an amazing addition to self reliance. I've got spare wheel and tire but if i was to get a flat in the middle of nowhere i can now be fixed ad rolling again in 30 minutes. Kit comes with 4 batteries, charger for 2 at a time and the big impact. All without the need for massive amounts of air pressure. It will provide me with much needed peace of mind knowing i wont have to call for tire service that could be 3-7 hours away.

i have a complete dinette that is out of a 2003 newell.   no damage.  my coach didnt have a dinette and another guru wanted to put in a desk where the dinette was, so he gave the entire thing to me.   ended up the table worked fine, but the rest of the expanding dinette didnt quite fit.

so it has been up on the pallet racking in my shop for years.   if someone doesnt want it, it is going to the dump

i will try and get some pictures.

So i've been lurking for YEARS!!!!!!  Have had 4 diesel motorhomes throughout the years.
94 Gulfstream Tourmaster
84 Bluebird Wanderlodge PT40
93 Bluebird Wanderlodge WB40
97 Newell Coach 454
Needless to say i've been a participant on the wanderlodge WOG for a long time.  I've been trying to get this new coach of mine ironed out a little bit.  I've been searching for it for the last 12 years since MOT last sold it.  I went to Memphis to look at 452 which was Darrell Waltrips old coach and the same day I looked at that Jeff Lojudice told me 454 was for sale.  I made a deal and went down to Texas to get it.  It had been sitting for a couple years, and MOT I don't think did a very good job clarifying some things about it's condition before I traveled from NE Ohio to go get it.  But whatever.  It's mine now.

I do a lot of camping up this way, Ohio, PA, Kentucky, Tennessee, things like that.  My parents had motorhomes when I was a kid so I finally got the cadillac of all coaches.

Just thought I'd stop in and introduce myself so you guys kinda know who I am.

Help.
Had my radiator rebuilt after several years of rodding and cleaning the original radiator. Shop did a great job. Fast forward to now. Went to install the radiator. Never noticed that the shroud was not on it, although I have photos of it being transported to the radiator shop with the shroud . Radiator shop can't find the shroud. My fault for not checking the details at the time . My problem is , dimensions to source, or build a new shroud.  Looking at the radiator ,the shroud was approximately  33 1/2 inches tall. and 37 1/4 wide, with four  1/4 x 3 bolts on the flange on each side. I don't know the depth. The fan blade is 32 inches across, so the shroud must have been very minimal. can any of you GURU'S help ?  If anyone can measure classic 8V92 shroud, it would be much appreciated. Hopefully two Newells might be the same. The only other course of action I have would be to bolt the radiator in , and make the measurements .

Our 1984 Newell has basement door latches modified by a previous owner. The latch strikers are made out of 22 gauge metal, wrapped around the rubber gasket of the door. It appears that Newell used all 3 point latch kits, and used a cut off wheel to make them 1 or 2 point. Anyone have a suggestion to improve on this, or know what Newell used for the latch plates. My co pilot does not like my current solution , using black Gorilla tape each day....
