The 12 volt air compressor is used for keeping the small tanks filled with air so you can properly operate the air doors and the toilet ?

the 120 volt compressor is used to keep the entire air system at 120 psi when unit is parked and plugged in  ? Guess this can keep your coach level while chasing down those little air leaks..

Note:
Thank you for the info. This bus sat for 8 years. I was Jonny Rutherfords ( indy car drivers bus) I have been redoing it for 1 year now and its first real trip coming up in a few weeks. It has been thru a good shakedown, but will have a few more questions coming up. When all is done I will have a great write-up and summary of everything I have found out thry newell gurus and Newell.

I had asked a while back but can't find the posting.  In the R1 bay in conjunction with the 120v compressor well switch is a regulator.  Seems like its a pressure relief regulator.  Does anyone know what the correct setting would be?

As seen in picture.  All worked when removed.  Someone else  apparently needed one of the high beams.  Please just pay packaging and shipping from a UPS store.  First PM takes.

Finally getting around to replacing the Pan-Hard Bar.  Wanted to get the exact length as delivered from the factory.  The best I could measure mine as it is installed was IMHO not very accurate.  I say "installed" as that thing is frozen in place.   I have spent three days and tried everything to break free the tapered end but no luck.  I cried Uncle and scheduled an appointment at Josam frame and Alignment in Orlando for Sept 13 to get them to replace it.

NOTE: According to the drawings, all three versions of the Ridwell suspension, the Pan Head Bar is 27-1/4" center to center.

The technician at Josam spent a good two hours trying to remove the Pan Hard Bar.  Even using their special tool it took that long.  As you can tell from the attached pictures my feeble attempt to get penetrating oil into the tapered end failed by a huge margin.  Looking at the corroded pitting it was not going to release easily.   Did not want to use heat as the airbag and shock was close by. Anyway, it is done!

Now the results,  With the old strut the coach was rubbing the passenger tire with a large gap on the driver side.  The new strut improved the tire to fender gap by a finger width.  Driving, with the old strut, was a seesaw action on the wheel especially when a truck passes.  With the new struct.....two finger steering.....a marked improvement.  The service manager brought the coach around and felt something as he drove.  He put it on the rack and shook each axle and found a loose nut on the front shock.....great service!

Heading out for a trip in the morning and the one thing I didn’t check over the weekend to see if I was ready to go is the 120v compressor as I have the coach on ship air when stored and compressor is new and had been working fine.

The picture below is of the relay box for lack of a better term where power enters that bay.  When power is turned on to that box what I will call the right side has power all the time, regardless of if I have the 120v compressor turned on or not.  The left side never has power.  There is also a wire from the well pump switch that feeds into this box as well.

Taking my trip either way, I just may not have front slide seals aired up part of the time.

I am headed to Josam's frame and Alignment tomorrow to have them replace my Pan-Head bar.  Looking over the drawing for our coach I noticed a note....#16 in particular.  It reads, Re-torque suspension bolts should be at first 6,000 miles then every 25,000 ther after.  Has anyone every been told by Newell that this "should" be accomplished?

When I bought the coach, the plumbing bay door had a loose outer skin. With the possibility of this coach going for a full paint job I wanted to tackle this to avoid additional charges from the shop doing the paint work. What I found is Newell used some form of double sided tape that dried up and let go. I bought some urethane two part caulk panel adhesive but wondering if I should just put 3m wide double side tape instead. What do you guys think? I cleaned up both faces of the panels. the 3M red tape that Home Depot sells might be just a hair thicker than what was used but I don't see that making a bid difference. Either way, I do have some wood and clamps to hold the skin onto the base while either method sets.

We have decided to sell our 2008 Newell.  I took delivery of the coach in March of this year.  Since that time I have added ~3k miles.  We are selling due to some positive life changes that will keep us from using it as intended.  Its in excellent condition and ready to hit the road.  Its a front entry coach with rear bath, extended queen bed and expanded pantry.  It has the C15 engine and 12 speed transmission.  I am asking 365K.

If you are interested in this coach please reach out to me directly.  I will be happy to provide more pictures and details about the coach.

Thank you,
Dan
