On old coaches the plastic tanks or other wise items that are made of plastic deteriorate our tank was not leaking but it was a time bomb which would leave a mess going down the road or in your driveway, I was informed this by a couple crusty old guys no name mentioned Smile that had this happen so I heeded to their knowledge and changed ours out, went from old plastic to a stainless steel tank rather than fabricate a new tank I looked on ebay and found a fuel tank that was the same OD as the plastic one and ordered it, had to tig weld a 1/4" T fitting on the bottom and cut a hold in the top (which would be the side for a tank) and bingo it was done here are some pictures of the old and the new tank. Thanks to those guys who did a walk around our coach! If you don't have a tig then silver solder would work or hire it out. If your coolent recovery tank has no fluid in it your bound to overheat at some point.  Also you must leave the top cap loose so the recovery part will work, I cut a 1.5" hole and used a plumbing pipe stop to cover up the area where you would fill it but leave the cap on the fill loose. The diameter of the tank is 8" if you care to shop elsewhere but I used the same brackets that came with the plastic tank.

Can anyone please recommend any RV parks accessible to our kind in Ontario?  I'm looking to stop both near Port Huron and NE of Toronto in early July.

Many thanks!

Just picked up 1995 coach out of Missouri. First time Class A for us. Met up with Glen Edwards in Miami, who gave us extensive driving lessons. Start our journey home to Colorado tomorrow. We’ll be spending 8+ months a year on the road. Love the solid construction for an almost 30yo coach.

My Kohler 12.5 with the Perkins engine has a mysterious gremlin. I started it the other day going down the highway. All was well. Later in the day I reached up and held down the switch to shut it down. It continued to run. When we stopped for the day i turned of the coach engine and tried to shut off the generator again. It shut down normally. Any ideas? How does this circuit work? Or rather how is it supposed to work?

My rear engine start switch does not seem to do anything when I turn it. (Dead silence) This is regardless if the toggle switch next to it is up or down. Where should I look to troubleshoot this thing? Engine starts normally from cockpit.

Does anyone have suggestions for a Big Rig rv park app?  We don’t need 5 star accommodations but would like to know places we can fit into along our trip. An app would be nice because I’m not necessarily a “plan ahead” kind of guy.

On our way out of Florida, I spotted a mid century (square tail lights) burgundy and gold parked in a spot on the west side of I 75.

Rhonda said we didn’t have time to turn around and scope it out.

Hey everyone, 2004 Newell coach quad slide.
My coach primarily runs off 12v water pump and i always keep the 12v air compressor on as she has a couple of air leaks.

Both have strangely stopped working at the same time which is a bit of an issue as now i have no water! Is there a 12v fuse panel located any where in the belly lockers? I have looked absolutely all over (even crawled in) Cannot seem to locate it.

Found a panel in the rear bathroom wardrobes with 110 and 12v fuses but none seem related to 12v pumps.

All lights inside the coach work as normal, seems odd as ive had no issues running for the last 3 years (since ive owned) using regularly.

Only thing ive done recently is try and get the 110v air compressor working as the previous owner disconnected it and set up a silent auxiliary compressor, wondering if playing with these wires have tripped something.

Some advice would be very much appreciated!

Has anyone installed an oil transfer/scavenge  pump? My father had one on his boat, which made doing oil changes extremely easy. If anyone has or has done this, what make and model did you get? I'm looking for something that can be permanently installed.
