Have purchased my coach tires from Dave and Wendy at National Tire Consierge Service and saved a bunch of money and loved how easy the process was.  One side benefit was that I could also use them for my car tires as I generally buy Michelin.  Here was the verdict.

BMW Dealer - Almost $1600
Tire Rack - $1247 (where I normally buy)
NTB - $1268
NTCS - $908 (will be shipped to NTB for mount/balance)

Funny side note that when I was talking with the dealer that did the install on my coach tires through NTCS this morning to see what they could get there hands on we got to chatting about the pricing I get vs. what they get based up on their 25 locations throughout the west and midwest and he said my pricing is actually about $25 less per tire than his wholesale cost from Michelin.

Such a nice service that Dave and Wendy provide and you save money to boot.

Hi All,
I remember seeing somewhere that there are hidden emergency releases for the interior doors in case the buttons don't work.
Can anyone share where I'd find out about this?  I have a 2004 with a door to the rear bath and one mid-ship to the bedroom.
Thanks!

I find it disturbing and frustrating to hear of a fellow Newell owner who can't find a new Mach8 A/C anywhere in the country!
This nightmare just continues on, and on, and I hate admitting defeat.  So, even though they've tried "everywhere", I'm sending out a distress signal for any leads they may have missed.

They have an older 2008 rig, and those units have heat pumps which they don't care about.  They found one unit but it's a non-HP unit and are researching see how much of a compatibility issue it woud be to swap.

Feel free to Contact me via text or email, if you have any info...

Hello Gurus,
My clearance light panel has been repainted in the past but the paint has not held up very well and is fading and starting to crack. I inquired about buying a replacement when I was at Newell a few weeks ago but the original supplier for the panels no longer has the molds so they are currently not available. I bought some chrome vinyl wrap and am going to try that for a fix. Have any of you done this type of thing in the past? If so, did you remove the clearance light panel or just leave it in place and wrap it? I am sure I will learn once I get into it but wanted to check in for any insights from the forum to save any potential "breakage".  Thanks, Paul

Magnum inverter and 6 Battleborn Lithium batteries.  It seems like I don’t have near the time I would expect before batteries are drained when boondocking.  Ok, so as some of you know I’m still electrically challenged but here is what I’m seeing.

As soon as I come off of shore power or generator my inverter controller reads 13.0 to 13.1.  From what I could gather from looking around online it seems like they should be closer to 13.6 if fully charged?  On the chart I have it shows 13.0-13.1 to be around 35% capacity?

I went and bought some RV sewer hose parts but they do not fit on the black tank output connection. Seems as if it is too big for the newer stuff to fit onto. I really do not want to replace the valve at this stage. Is there an adapter that goes from the Thetford to the Rhino line of hoses? The thetford connection has four rectangular nodes rather than the small round type.

Forum: Discussion about what to consider on buying a used Newell
- No Replies

We're looking, although remotely, at a 2006 Newell that fits what we think we want... Mid-entry and a Murphy bed.
This is #766 with both features and if anyone knows anything about this coach I'd love to hear your thoughts, either privately or publicly.
One thing I know is that three VIN searches find nothing in the way of a history.
In the past I've uncovered two coaches (not Newells) that were represented as being in perfect condition, A search through CarFax revealed that both were salvage jobs.
Thanks gang...hope to hear from some of you about this coach, #766.

FYI, we've been delighted with our Monaco Exec 43DS-II. It has taken us all over the eastern US and racked up some 61,000 miles on tp of the 40k it had when we became its second owner. It's now all-electric with new dishwasher, refrigerator, overhauled AquaHot  and upgraded Splendide.
As much as we like the Exec, we'd like two more slides and a little more room. Plus, we've drooled over Newells for six years...Just ask Brian Pitts.
