A historic aircraft, an Antonov an-124 picked up a Newell coach bound for Egypt. So amazing! The aircraft is the smaller one after Russia destroyed the worlds largest version the an-225 in the attacks earlier this year.

Morgan Parker with Newell takes the credit for the pics. He was first to upload them on FB. I am passing this info along for those of you without FaceBook.

I'm looking for replacement G4 LED Disks that don't flicker with the Spyder electronics.  I can get them from Newell $$$$ but would like alternative sources.  I checked with M4 and Superbright but the best response was that I could return them if they flickered.  I'd rather get them from Newell than start experimenting.

I have quite a few LED's that worked in my Monaco Signature but they flicker quite a bit in the Newell.

Since my coach is away, the owner will play... Or so it goes.

I was quoted just a hair under 20k to replace some hoses and lines in my coach. I am having them do some of the work such as newly discovered oil leaks. With their estimated time of 4-6 weeks of completion, I decided to build a service pit and extend the parking driveway another 8 feet. Concrete comes on Friday with more rebar to be installed. We are doing 16" footers with rebar reinforcement and a 6" slab in the bottom. 8" concrete blocks will be used for the walls filled with cement and rebar and a poured top cap thats rebar reinforced in to the existing slab and new block. I have a new sump pump installed and it works excellently during it's trial run. On the top side, I will install 3" wide by 3/16" thick angle iron that will be through bolted with bolts welded to the rebar encapsulated in the concrete. I would like to devise a "C" channel system to allow an oil change trolly to roll under the engine for oil changes. And finally, I will weld up a steel expanded metal cover for the whole pit. The only power in the pit will be the pump which is on a GFCI circuit. The power pedestal for the bus has its own receptacle for if I need something plugged in working under the coach. Lighting will be 12" thin strip 12v lighting that can articulate up and down. I will fabricate a steel staircase that can be unhooked from the wall and moved out of the way if need be. Headed to the steel shop tomorrow to pick up their prefabricated treads and some square tube. The pit is in an area far from the house and the coach is always going to be parked over it unless we travel. I will have about 7k into this with the concrete/block reinforcement costs being the bulk of it. Finished dimensions will be 44" wide x 16' long x 5' deep (I hired out the concrete cutting, backhoe and Personally removed the concrete waste and reallocated the removed soil to an unused area of the property for future use.)

I've seen a few references here about a Newell Facebook group.  What is the name of the group that is discussed?  I applied for entry to the Newell VIP Group a month or two ago which has not been approved.  Is it the wrong group for technical discussions?  Is it active?

We are considering buying a Classic 1984 Newell Coach with a Cummins engine. I am currently awaiting a reply from Newell with more details.

All I have so far is the VIN and some pictures.

There are 3 window seals that leak. The coach has not been used since 2016 when it is said to have bee in perfectly working condition. The fuel is old and likely gone bad, so the engine does not stay running. I assume the fuel filter gets clogged. It will need fuel polishing, a fuel system cleaning, the water leaks repaired, and a good exterior wash and detail. The interior looks very nice and clean, except for the minor water damage.

Unfortunately the coach is about a thousand miles away in Louisiana. Hopefully we can find someone for a PPI and if it checks out we will travel there to look at it.

1991 coach found this air line in the drivers side engine bay. Can’t find any connection for it. Does anyone know where this air line belongs? It just shoots out air when I run the 120v compressor.

We got home from our trip today. After backing into the shop I plugged in the 50 amp and heard an odd noise. It sounded like a quick electrical buzz that lasted about 2 seconds. There’s no 12V at the master switch near the entry door or at the house fuse bank in the rear compartment. I’m not sure where to check next. There is 12V at one side of the solenoid in the rear box in the engine comp. But none at the small signal wire or the other large terminal.
