Hello. I have a 2000 coach with an electric cube heater on the driver side of the plumbing bay near the Headhunter water pump. It is controlled by a mechanical thermostat on the passenger side of the same bay. it stopped working (no power on outlet)

I thought it was the thermostat so I bought a new mechanical one and when I took out the old one to measure the line voltage I didn't have power in thermostat box. there are two wires...I thought one was incoming hot and the other was going across the bay to the switched outlet.

I have a 110v breaker in back labelled "compt heater" which was on and I measured and it has voltage on it.

so, what am I missing?

either this is wired in a way I don't understand or I have something broken in a hidden location between the rear ac breaker and the thermostat box

any suggestions?

Thanks,

Don

Greetings all,
As we prepare for the upcoming holiday season, I'm doing some spring cleaning, yes I realize that its November but that's kinda how this year's been going.

Soon after we bought #463, we replaced our basement air con with a minisplit. Both units seemed to work, but other than turning them on and feeling cold area, I have no real experience with them.
As a result, I have two SCS2702 units that have been stored in the garage since they were removed. If you, or anyone you know needs them, please make me an offer. I can probably help with delivery around the DMV (iykyk)

I also recently came across several oil-less rocking piston pumps that had been used in a microwave antenna application. I bought all that they had in case anyone here needed a replacement/spare. They are Gast/Thomas continuous duty pumps (see pictures) and work great as replacement of the onboard 120v on the $cheap$. Just looking to recoup what i paid ($100each). Im willing ship, just send me zip code and ill get quote from UPS/USPS

Feel free to call me at 757-291-5977 to discuss
If i dont answer, shot me a text and I'll call you back

So we've had our 90's Newell going on 5 months. I guess.
For nearly 3 months, we were plugged in to 50 amp
Then, we moved to Colorado, also plugged into 50 amp. In both cases, the 110 compressor was coming on and keeping the main supply tank at 60 to 90 pounds, as it should ..... currently moved to a site in Arizona where we're on 30 amp
Everything seems to work except interestingly...the cooktop doesn't, but also th 110 compressor just doesn't seem to be coming on .and the supply is now 0... brakes over 100.  Is it possible that its just not on the main 30 amp leg?  Or could something have happened in our last trip....triggering a no go.  I hear our 12v compressor start on occasion which I presume is keeping brake pressure high.  I've really not had time to do much other investigation. We're here for a couple more weeks, so looking for advice...

Shopping for a Newell and wondering if Newell ever made any coaches with center or pass thru bathrooms? I have never had a rear bath coach and not certain if I would like it better than a center bath.

If so, any specific years?

Currently have a '98 Country Coach Concept 40' and looking to step up to something larger and with more slides.

Thanks,
David H

Tom,

After almost 3 years, Pam and I are able to be back on the road again.  I have spent the last month repairing and replacing items from front to back.  It's amazing how much stuff I have forgotten about all the different systems I once thought I was pretty familiar with. So after saying all that here is my question.  Is it possible to download the entire forum?  I was thinking how neat it would be if I could read up on everything while Pam is driving us around and when I'm relaxing in the evenings.  We are going to take a short 3 day trip to Arkansas this weekend to test and check everything out.  Our destinations are usually in the mountains and it's hit or miss if there is any wifi or cell service.  I just thought it would be great to have all this past knowledge that everyone has shared at your fingertips when needed or researching.  I totally understand if its not possible, not knowing how many TB's that would be needed, or if it's even something you would want to do, it was just a thought.

Thank You, for all you do in keeping this forum going, I have solved so many issues by just reading the information that you are storing and providing for everyone.

Jeff

The fan for the bedroom heat is not coming on and I've narrowed it down  to the thermostat being the problem.

The fan works just fine when I jump the 12v+ wire to the heat output on the back of the thermostat, so for whatever reason the original thermostat is not sending the needed voltage to the heater fan.

Since the thermostat controls both compressors on the AC and the heat I'm not sure what I can replace it with.

Has anyone replaced the original PSG thermostat with another model that will work with our AC and the heat?

Thanks
Tyler
