This winter I plan to replace all of the halogen bulbs with leds. I think they are G4 bases?
We like the cool white. I also want to keep the light output about the same as the halogens.
I have about 60 to replace so will plan to buy 70 in case a few are bad.
What are the differences between the type 5050, etc. Is it just more light output?
Any other suggestions?
I also want to replace the little spotlights which will take a different type of led. Any suggestions on these?
Thanks!

I am purchasing a 1997 Newell coach, I am in need of operators manuals for a coach this vintage. Anything could help. A lot of things I can figure out but am new to owning this type of equipment. If someone has anything that would help it is greatly appreciated. I would pay for copies to be made say at a copy service or could make copies myself and return manuals. Thanks I am depending on you Newell folks for some assistance or guidance.

Does anyone have a list of all the filters for our series 60 equipped coaches?
I need the numbers for the oil filters, fuel filters, air dryer, radiator filter, transmission filter, and the 20kw Kohler filters oil, air, and fuel.
Also if anyone has a list of the chassis grease zeros?
Thanks.

Next Spring we will be heading to Alaska from Yuma AZ and putting our Newell in storage in a building. It will be quite hot through the sumer months but at-least it will be out of the sun. I am wondering if there is any recommendations as what to do to the coach for the storage period. I will disconnect the batteries, not sure if I should drain all the water because public water has some chlorine in it which should help guard against alge growth. I don't think it will be able to be plugged in. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Brad

I hear the annoying smoke alarm beep indicating that a new battery is needed - but do not know where the smoke alarm is located in our coach. Looked in the washer/dryer area - not there - anyone know where Newell places the smoke alarm??

PS: sorry if this post is a duplicate - first post did not post for some reason.

I've grown weary of the coolant leaks out of the sweated- in joints on the manifolds on my 1997 431-12 unit. Rudy led me to photos of a new Model 600 unit that uses heater hose to replace these manifolds. I'm taking pics but I need help posting them as I am using a Mac Book Pro and am a tad slow. I closed the two faucets that the manifolds thread into but both were leaking torrents when I starting taking everything apart. I will rebuild them also. I'm now an eco- terrorist with the slippery green mess I've made. These small leaks over the years have caused problems like causing the adhesive to turn loose below the bay door that holds the aluminum strip that runs from the steps to the rear fender flare and ruining the rubber bay door gaskets by soaking them in antifreeze. I've got three manifolds out so far and have no interest in soldering the joints again. They always find somewhere else to leak.

I won't be able to replace every soldered joint on the whole unit as some come thru the cover for the tank.

Rudy suggested moving the burner out of the way and I promise I won't fire it up while it's out!

Thanks,
